Renfroe OHBA Member of Year

Exemplifying the core value of members supporting members, David Renfroe of Renfroe Land Management was presented with the Member of the Year award for his outstanding commitment to the association. Renfroe has significantly contributed to the residential construction industry, OHBA and his home local, the Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association. As Chair of OHBA’s Builder Developer Council (BDC), he has been instrumental in advocating for ways to spur housing construction in Ontario—playing a significant role in advocating for and achieving wins in streamlining approvals processes and implementing land-use planning changes.

“OHBA is made up of members who volunteer thousands of hours for the greater good of our industry.  To be recognized by my peers, I am beyond grateful and humbled to be honoured as OHBA’s Member of the Year,” says Renfroe, who is proud of BDC’s work during his tenure there. “The council has worked tirelessly this past year to promote housing policy that reduces red tape and helps build more housing. BDC identified housing issues, formulated policy proposals and proactively tabled solutions for the government. I’m most proud of the comradery, synergy and proactive attitude that BDC members initiated with the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing to promote an OHBA ‘One Voice’ approach.”
